The story
From code, to cows, to code again.
Most agri-tech starts with software looking for a farming problem. This one started with farming problems — and a founder who already knew how to write software.
- Chapter 1
Software developer
Muniraj's career began in software development. It gave him the skills to design, build and ship applications — skills that would matter a great deal later.
- Chapter 2 · 2020
Dairy farmer
In 2020 he moved into dairy farming, starting with 40 cows in Rayakottai. Running the farm day to day meant living with the problems farmers face: scattered records, breeding dates to remember, vet and feed bills to keep straight.
- Chapter 3 · 2024–2026
Cattle-feed business
The farm led into feed. What began as a feed hub and Amul authorised dealership grew into DCF Feeds Industries, with its own feed manufacturing and branches across the region — and first-hand knowledge of how feed actually reaches farmers.
- Chapter 4 · 2026
Agriculture technology
With a developer's skills and a farmer's problems, the next step was obvious: build the software himself. Digital Cattle Farm came from the farm; Feed Mandi came from the feed business. DCF Digital Solutions is the company that now builds both.
How the products get made
Three rules that come from the farm.
01
Solve problems you have actually had
Features start from something that went wrong on a real farm or in a real feed shop — not from a feature list.
02
The farmer is the user, not the buyer
The person who uses the app is often not a tech-savvy person. If they can't use it in their own language on their own phone, it isn't finished.
03
Say only what is true
No fake reviews, no inflated numbers. If something is coming soon, we say so.
See what came out of it: two products, one ecosystem.
